Life has been throwing my husband and I some real doozies over the past month or so. We have an incredibly strong marriage, so no worries on that front, but right now is just not a very happy time for us. (I am not going to go into what is going on the public blog.)

I should be back in about a week, I think, barring any unforeseen circumstances.

And, today we are empty.
There is nothing to say or do to fill this void,
too many emotions to avoid.
Crashing down upon us in wave after wave.
Why won’t our emotions behave?

There is no knave,
nor reprobate to blame,
None to claim.
Just an empty place in us,
Physical,
Mental,
and Emotional.

Does God hear our plea?
No blame to He,
Just a plea to know
that which is unknown
to understand
this no man’s land,
this place of heartache and pain,
When there is no one to blame.

How long must we sojourn
on this seeming never-ending journey?
And why must this pain turn and burn -
with no way for it to adjourn.

Comfort from ourselves,
Truest in itself.
Will we survive this loss whole?
Or will it destroy a part of us -
forever withdrawn?

For a part of us has died.
No matter how hard we tried.
None had lied.
That part of us has died.

I have been in contact (in vain) with Dreamhost and am trying to get my otherinfo.com email to work again. It hasn’t worked since some time yesterday afternoon. I don’t know if the California fires are responsible or what.

This is the first major problem I have had with my hosing company (Dreamhost) since I first started using them in 2000. I will work on an alternate way to get ahold of me if this isn’t resolved by tonight.
