I subscribe neither to the belief that all things are revealed in the literal interpretation of Scripture, nor that a mere man claiming the mantle of St. Peter can dictate true belief and understanding.
I have had heavy exposure to both groups of thought.
In a nutshell: I believe that in the Nicene Creed, and that it is the responsibility of every mature Christian to embark on a journey to embody the Law as Jesus Christ mandated. This takes discernment and constant study. Study should lead to spiritual re-examination. And, of course, this can only be done through the Grace of God through His Son, Jesus Christ, Our Lord.
Hi there MLO c”,)
I really enjoyed reading your statement of belief. I totally agreed with your last paragraph (the nutshell. I am so a lover of nuts too! haha). Thanks for sharing this with us (me). And thanks for popping by my blog too and for your encouraging words to me. I will definitely go and have a look at the coming2terms blog. Birds of a feather, me thinks.
Nice meeting you and I’ll definitely be back.
P.S. I’m somewhat of a social knitter, myself. Knit on the odd occassion, and have a knitting back that sits beside my couch in my lounge for when the urge strikes. I have yet to finish an item though. I become too entranced by the beautiful variety of wool out there and I”m constantly swopping my projects out in favour of another colour that suits my mood that day. Haha! Call me fickle! c”,)

Amen.
Guys! Don’t let the site! It’s a pleasure to read it!
